Triple Rock lies within Meemu Atoll, one of the less frequently dived atolls in the central Maldives, reached mainly by liveaboards making their way through the region rather than by day boats from the more visited northern atolls. The name suggests a formation of rocky outcrops or pinnacles marking the site, and it reaches a maximum depth of around 23 metres. Divers have reported nudibranchs and strawberry hermit crabs on the rock formations, along with the occasional whale shark passing through.
