About this site

Tufia is a shore dive off a charming fishing village on Gran Canaria. After kitting up you walk down a steep path through the village and enter the water at a small black sand beach. The reef is clearly volcanic, with boulders and several caves that rays like. Maximum depth is about 18 m.

There is a good chance of spotting the resident seahorse, as well as many octopus. The site is also a good choice when non-divers come along. Water temperature runs from about 19°C in winter to 24°C in summer. Fish farms upstream have affected conditions at times in recent summers.
