Tugboat Beach is a shore dive in Curaçao, entered straight from the beach with a small swim over a sandy plateau to the reef. The main attraction is the sunken tugboat, 9 metres long on a shallow sandy bottom, which suits both divers and snorkelers. Peek inside to find trunkfish, sergeant majors and small schools of French grunts.
The reef starts with a steep slope down to another plateau at around 12 metres, with mooring pillars to explore. Experienced divers can explore under the pier when no ships are present. Past the wreck the reef becomes an impressive wall where you can look out for lionfish and angelfish. The water is 26 to 28°C all year and the site is protected.
