Wonder Reef sits off the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia, built around an artificial reef structure in open water. It reaches a maximum depth of around 16 metres over a reef bottom, making it a beginner-friendly dive. Divers here have reported batfish, clownfish, nudibranch, trevally, and wobbegong around the structure, along with occasional sightings of leopard sharks, manta rays, whales, and whale sharks passing through.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
