Anchor Wreck is a 19th-century wooden ship lying on the edge of the wall at Menjangan Island, off the northwest coast of Bali. An anchor sits at 5 metres, and the bow drops to 40 metres. It is listed as an advanced wreck and wall dive.
The wreck is covered in soft coral. Two anchors lie embedded in sediment and sand at about 6 and 32 metres, and the ship itself at about 40 metres, so overgrown with coral it is barely recognisable. It is said to have been a slave ship. Heading along the wall into deeper water gives a chance to see whitetip reef sharks. Visibility is 20 to 40 metres and the current is moderate.
Batfish, scorpionfish and turtles live on the wreck, with reef sharks seen here more than at most sites on the island. Pygmy seahorses, moray eels, anemonefish, shrimps and crabs are also found.
