Boiler Wreck is a coal-fired ship lying on its starboard side at 18 metres in the Red Sea off Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Little of the hull remains apart from a section of the stern and the two boilers that give the site its name, and coral covers what is left. The dive is graded advanced.
The dive starts in open water about 50 metres from the wreck, drops to a shelf wall at around 45 metres and climbs gradually along the slope toward the ship. Large sea fans grow on the wall, alongside black coral and pink and red soft corals. A resident moray eel lives near the stern, and divers may see sharks, manta rays, bonito and kingfish passing along the wall.
The bow lies in less than 3 metres of water and leads into a network of tunnels and caves in the reef, where openings above let light in. Current and surge can be strong.
