Cabez Reef is a shore dive on the rougher side of Aruba. You enter by jumping from a rocky ledge about 3 m (10 ft) high into the waves, so everything needs to be checked before you go in.
It is a drift dive over a reef that is full of life and very beautiful. It passes a diverse collection of hard and soft corals that most divers on Aruba never get to see. The maximum depth is around 20 m (65 ft), and the exit is shallow.
Cabez Reef is for experienced divers only, and it is described as challenging. It is dived after a check-out dive at another site, and only when conditions are favourable, which leaves few days in the year.
