Cathedral is a cave and canyon dive at Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. Divers swim through an underwater tunnel and surface inside the island itself, in a cave whose ceiling is about 23 metres (75 ft) high.
The dive also takes in painted coral walls along shallow canyons carved out of the rock by the sea, with sponges and soft coral adding vivid colour. Schooling tarpon are seen here, and more than 90 species of fish have been recorded. The maximum depth is 13.7 metres (45 ft).
