The Cessna Wreck, also called Jaws IV, lies off the south-west of New Providence near Nassau in the Bahamas. In 1987 a stunt pilot deliberately crash-landed this Cessna 310 twin-engine aircraft into the sea for a scene in Jaws: The Revenge. Locals also call the wreck Nari-Nari.
The crumpled fuselage lies on its side on the sandy bottom at around 60 feet (18 metres), near the edge of Clifton Wall, and is marked by a surface buoy. The impact crumpled the nose and bent the wings, and decades underwater have softened the edges with algae and growth. The nearby wall drops into the Tongue of the Ocean.
Caribbean reef sharks frequently patrol the area, and schools of jacks and snapper swirl around the twisted metal. Visibility is great and the site suits beginners.
