About this site
Dhigurah Thila is a submerged pinnacle dive site located in the Dhigurah area, offering a dynamic reef structure with vibrant coral life and regular shark sightings on the sandy bottom below.
The site is a thila — a submerged pinnacle — with a sandy bottom and reef structure colonised by soft corals and gorgonian fan corals, giving the site considerable relief and plenty of surfaces to explore.
The pinnacle is well known for sharks resting on the sandy bottom, with nurse sharks and whitetip reef sharks among the regulars. Turtles, lobsters, scorpionfish, and baby eagle rays round out the marine life commonly encountered here.
