Farol is a reef dive site off Sal, Cape Verde, reached by a short 5–10 minute boat trip from shore. It is a multi-level dive structured across three depth tiers, with a minimum depth of 8 metres, an intermediate level at 12 metres, and a maximum depth of 18 metres. The terrain consists of rock walls cut through with numerous cracks and crevices.
The site suits divers of all levels, including those on introductory dives, and carries a difficulty rating of 1. It is particularly well regarded for macro photography; the recommended approach is to swim slowly and inspect the holes and crevices closely to find the small organisms sheltering within them. Frogfish and various shellfish are among the creatures that hide in the rock faces, alongside turtles, rays, and tropical fish.
Schools of fish are also present, and a small shipwreck adds an additional point of interest to the dive.
