Grammeno, also called Grammeno Wall, is a boat dive at Proti Island, in Greece. The name means "written", because sailors in Byzantine times carved messages into the rocks here asking for safe travels and good weather.
The cove offered natural shelter from storms, and underwater the site has impressive rocky reefs and dense Posidonia oceanica meadows, which are unique to the Mediterranean. Maximum depth is about 12 m.
It is one of the few places at Proti where the dotted sea slug (Peltodoris atromaculata), also known as the sea cow, is found. Fish and octopus also live in the calm water around the wall.
The dive is suitable for divers of all certification levels. The site can also be snorkelled.
