Green Shark lies within the Ko Nang Yuan cluster just off the northwest tip of Ko Tao, in Surat Thani province's Ko Phangan district in the Gulf of Thailand. The small islands here are linked by a sandbar and sit amid granite outcrops that draw boat traffic from Ko Tao's dive operators. Divers at this site have reported leopard sharks, also known as zebra sharks, resting on the sand or reef below, along with occasional whale shark sightings passing through. Reef fish reported here include blue-barred parrotfish, moon wrasse, slingjaw wrasse, redbreast maori wrasse, titan triggerfish, doublebar rabbitfish, blackeye thicklip, Hong Kong butterflyfish, and pink skunk anemonefish.
