Grotta Azzurra is a bay at Taormina in Sicily, counted among the snorkelling spots of the Isola Bella marine park. It has large submerged boulders and a wide variety of marine life, and the depth tops out at about 3 metres, dropping to only 1 metre near the rocks.
Large schools of two-banded seabream swim around the boulders, with comber and salema among the other Mediterranean fish. A sharp-eyed visitor may even spot an octopus.
