K41 East is a wall dive jutting straight out from the beach, 41 km from Dili in Timor-Leste. It is one of the most popular sites for divers, snorkellers and picnickers alike.
The wall starts shallow and ends in a very deep slope full of sponges, corals and colourful fish if you swim to the right. A shallow coral garden on top is good for snorkellers and safety stops. Depths run from 5 to 40 m.
Light and visibility are usually very good. Critters such as leaf scorpionfish, winged pipefish and nudibranchs can be spotted along the dive. A turtle or a whitetip reef shark makes it a lucky day. Wide angle suits the scenery.
Entry and exit are easy at any time, straight from the beach. To the west the site has Timor-Leste's newest shipwreck, the Kamanasa. Discover Scuba divers can do the dive.
