Lobster Rock is a rocky reef off White Beach in Boracay, a ten-minute boat ride away, at depths of 12 to 20 m. Conditions are straightforward and the site suits Open Water divers, and it rewards patience over distance: slow down and look into the gaps between the boulders. Water temperature is around 25 C.
Spiny lobsters, which give the site its name, are tucked into the crevices. Nudibranchs, pufferfish, anemonefish, trumpetfish, shrimp and crabs are all recorded, with fusiliers passing over the structure and lionfish holding station against it. Masked puffers and schooling bannerfish are regulars, and green and hawksbill turtles also appear.
