Lockhead P2V Neptune Plane is a wreck off Bahar ic-Caghaq on the north-east coast of Malta, lying about 500 metres from shore. The aircraft was stripped of its salvageable parts and then scuttled in the late 1950s for an underwater scene in the film The Silent Enemy, which aired in 1958. The wreck was rediscovered in 2015.
It lies at a depth of 32 metres. What remains is part of the fuselage, with hardly any interior and no complete wings, only engine covers. Other pieces of the wings are half buried in the sand. The aircraft measured 30 metres across the wingspan and 24 metres in length, and the site is dived from a boat.
