M&M Caverns is a dive off the barrier reef of Ambergris Caye, only half a mile from San Pedro, at about 21 to 27 metres (70 to 90 feet). On the descent to 90 feet the entrance to the first tunnel comes into view.
The tunnel is 30 feet (about 9 metres) long and exits at 60 feet (about 18 metres). The deep water around it means schools of horse-eye jacks are always present, and deep-water pelagic fish cruise along the reef.
