Maliko Bay sits on the north shore of Maui, near Paia on the road to Hana, an area better known among windsurfers and kitesurfers than as a dive destination. The bay opens onto the channel waters facing Molokai, exposed to the swell and wind patterns typical of Maui's north coast. Divers here have reported green sea turtles alongside reef residents such as dusky surgeonfish, pacific orange-spine unicornfish, saddle wrasse, and pebbled butterflyfish, as well as pacific white-spotted sea cucumbers, shingle urchins, and thin-shelled rock crabs on the bottom.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
