Mixon Hole is a submerged gorge off Selsey Bill on the south coast of England, forming a near-vertical 20-metre clay cliff. It is regarded as one of the most unusual dive sites on the South Coast.
The clay walls are rich with anemones, sponges, crabs, lobsters and sea squirts. Divers have also reported squat lobsters, edible crabs, tompot blennies, leopard-spotted gobies, pollack and several species of wrasse here. The site is dived at slack water only.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
