Netrani Island sits in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Karnataka, India, near Murudeshwar, and its heart-shaped shoreline is a known launch point for dives around the surrounding reef and wall. The island itself is uninhabited and reached by boat from the mainland, with dive sites scattered around its rocky, volcanic coastline reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres. Diving here is rated beginner level, though divers have reported strong current around some of the corners. Marine life reported here includes angelfish, bannerfish, fusiliers, snapper, sweetlips, surgeonfish, triggerfish, trevally, tuna, mackerel, parrotfish, octopus, and nudibranchs, with eagle rays and even manta rays occasionally sighted. Scorpionfish and stonefish have also been reported, along with frogfish, so care around the rocky bottom is worthwhile.
