Punta sits along the shore of Garda Island in Lake Garda, within the province of Brescia in Lombardy. This part of the lake is framed by the wooded hills and small settlements typical of the Brescia shoreline, with the lake's characteristic clear fresh water along the point. It is a beginner site reaching a maximum depth of around 20 metres. Divers have reported freshwater blenny around the site, and a manta ray has even been mentioned by one source, though that would be a highly unusual sighting for a freshwater lake.
