The Red Sea is a 110–125-foot (33–38 m) tug boat wreck sitting in approximately 74–75 feet (22–23 m) of water in the inshore zone off Panama City Beach, Florida, less than 8 miles from St. Andrew's Pass. The vessel was deliberately installed as an artificial reef in 2009 and lies on a sandy bottom alongside other inshore wrecks in the same area, including Bridge Spans 12 and 2 and the USS Strength minesweeper.
The wreck sits to the sand at around 74–75 feet (22–23 m), consistent with the verified maximum depth of 35.8 m, with most diving taking place above 60 feet (18 m) on the hull structure itself. Its position in the inshore cluster makes it a natural pairing as a second dive on a two-tank charter alongside neighboring sites.
The site is considered suitable for open-water divers, as inshore Panama City Beach wrecks in this depth range are generally described as appropriate for that certification level, in contrast to the offshore sites beyond 8 miles, which require advanced and nitrox certification.
