Seal Reef is a boulder reef on Loch Fyne and is the first entry site into the loch from the south.
The dive starts in the shallows of the boulder reef and goes as deep as divers wish, with 30+ metres available. The loch is known for the variety of life on its dives, and the reef holds pipefish, pollock, lumpsuckers, scallops and langoustines. An octopus has recently been reported living within the reef area.
This is a popular site. Parking is off road on an access track to residential dwellings, so care and attention are needed when leaving a vehicle.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
