Shaab Marsa Alam is a 790 metre long reef about 4 kilometres offshore near Marsa Alam, Egypt, reached by boat. The reef is long enough to offer many dive profiles, from shallow to a maximum of 40 metres, and it suits all divers.
A large coral garden lies on the northwest side and a smaller one on the east side. The wreck of the Legend, a sunken cruise ship, sits on the south side, and there are some small caverns in the middle of the reef. The seabed on the sheltered side is dotted with coral rocks and full of marine life.
Yellow goatfish are common, and pods of spinner dolphins sometimes stop by. Currents can flow through the whole site, but are generally moderate.
