The Maze is a wall dive in Old Man Bay on the East End of Grand Cayman, and it earns its name with a maze-like layout of canyons, buttresses and pinnacles. Some of the canyons are just shoulder-width wide.
The top of the wall is only 12 to 14 metres deep, which is good for extra bottom time, and the wall drops to 30 metres. The mooring is at 15 metres, with a brilliantly bright sand bowl right beside it. Ascending the wall brings you back up under the mooring.
Sharks and abundant coral live on the reef. Scorpionfish sit camouflaged against it and are venomous, so look with your eyes only.
