Treaddur Bay is a shore dive on the Irish Sea, with the main point of interest being the gully at Ravens' Point — reached by following the headland around to its far left side, past rock outcrops and a low cliff that continues toward Penrhos Bay. Entry is off the rocks to the left of the bay, and the dive runs up and down the gully on a rocky bottom.
The gully terrain is characterised by crevices in the rock, scattered kelp holding on in clumps, and a noticeable swell from the incoming tide that gently lifts and drops divers in the water column. Visibility recorded here was around 3 metres, consistent with the generally poor visibility typical of the site.
Marine life is modest: small fish and crabs tucked into crevices are what divers can expect. The site suits beginner divers, though the Irish Sea swell should be factored into the plan, as wave action and weather fronts from the west can affect conditions noticeably.
