Turtle Point is a fringing reef at Tenggol, dived at 4 to 18 m and rated for beginners. It is at its best from March to October.
The site lives up to its name. Green and hawksbill turtles turn up on nearly every dive, resting on broad coral heads or feeding on sponges along the reef wall. The fringing reef forms sheltered channels where turtles congregate, and the reef fish diversity matches any site at Tenggol. Leopard sharks sometimes rest on the sand at 14 to 16 m.
The shallow depths make it a good second dive after a deeper morning dive, and a reliable spot for underwater photography.
