Ukm's Reef lies off Tiga Island in the Loyalty Islands group of New Caledonia, between Lifou and Mare in the southwest Pacific. Waters here are reached by boat from the Loyalty Islands, an area known more for its coral formations and channel currents than for tourist infrastructure. Divers at this reef have reported a range of coral types, including cauliflower, corrugated, crispy crust, galaxy, porkchop, and wrinkle coral, suggesting a varied coral bottom typical of the Loyalty Islands chain.
