Wahoo Rock is a dive site in Coiba National Park, Panama, with a maximum depth of about 30 metres (98 ft). The tip of the rock breaks the surface, which makes orientation easy both above and below the water. It lies next to Buffet, and the two meet along the buoy line and merge into one another.
There are shallower sandy areas as well as deep, steep rock faces. Depth creeps up on you here, and it is easy to end up at 30 metres without noticing, so watch your dive computer closely.
Plankton often gathers here, which can draw large animals in to feed, so it pays to look up and around now and then. Even without the big ones, the site holds many reef fish, moray eels and turtles.
