White Beach is a dive site located north of Panagsama Beach in Moalboal, Cebu, reached by a roughly 10-minute boat ride, and is known for its sandy slope leading to a soft-coral-covered wall.
The terrain begins as a sandy flat and slope in the shallows between 5 and 12 metres, where the bottom is calm and open. The sand continues downward to around 22 metres, where rock boulders and a wall begin; the wall then drops into greater depths beyond the maximum recorded depth of 22.8 metres. The shallower sandy zone suits beginners and Open Water training, while the wall provides more engaging diving for experienced divers.
Marine life on the sandy slope includes flounders lying camouflaged on the bottom, garden eels emerging from the sand, scorpionfish, and green sea turtles, which are seen on nearly every dive. Along the wall and among the soft corals, sea fans, and sponges, divers find ghost pipefish, frogfish, lionfish, pipefish, nudibranchs, triggerfish, and fusiliers. The site is well regarded for macro photography, as the white sand reflects light effectively in the shallows and small critters are abundant along the reef.
Entry and exit are by boat, and diving at medium to high tide is recommended for easier conditions. The best season runs from November to May. The site is rated suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced divers.
