Anemone Bay is a dive site at the northern end of North Solitary Island in the Solitary Islands Marine Park, off Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Australia. It is a reef dive with a light current.
Anemones. The site is named for the carpet-like coverage of anemones found there. It supports the densest cover of anemone and anemonefish recorded anywhere, and it is described as the largest aggregation of anemones and anemonefish in the Southern Hemisphere. The endemic blue-lip or wide band anemonefish, Amphiprion latezonatus, lives here.
Fish life. North Solitary Island has the highest reef fish diversity in the marine park, and Anemone Bay is particularly diverse. When currents are present around the island, drift dives are possible.
