Cala Fria is a shore dive located just beneath the Cabo de Palos lighthouse on the Murcia coast of Spain. It sits in a sheltered cove setting with a sandy bottom reaching a maximum depth of 9.8 metres, making it well suited to beginner divers holding at least an Open Water certification. The terrain features rock formations that divers can swim through, adding interest to what is otherwise a gentle, accessible dive.
The site holds a varied mix of marine life, including octopus, stingrays, sargos, salmonetes, doradas, lubinas, salpas, morrajas, mabras, and alevins among others. Visibility is typically excellent, with crystal-clear water being a characteristic feature of the site.
