About this site

The Dauin coast is a stretch of muck and reef dive sites, mostly within 5 to 10 minutes of the shore base. Sandy slopes here carry small natural reefs as well as artificial reefs, and the sites are usually not deeper than 20 metres.

The artificial reefs are home to many critters, including frogfish, ghost pipefish, seahorses and octopus. Current is manageable if there is any at all. A drift dive at Mainit is also possible, where schools of surgeonfish, barracudas and sweetlips are a common sight. Night dives can be made from the beach at the house reef and the Luca sanctuary.
