El Makluf is a reef dive site with two distinct sections — South and North — each entered through a canyon featuring a small overlap. The southern section opens out onto a coral wall and coral blocks with varied fish life, while a plateau creates a notable drop-off. The northern section is defined by a coral plateau dotted with many small coral blocks.
Inside the entry canyon at both sections, Spanish dancers, nudibranchs, and soldierfish are regularly encountered. In the southern area, a school of barracudas appears on a regular basis, and a particularly approachable turtle is resident in the zone.
