Fan Garden is a reef dive in a sheltered channel that also carries drift-diving character, grouped with the nearby Aore Wall area. The site is known for large gorgonian fans, anemones, turtles, reef fish, and scattered WWII fragments that offer a colorful contrast to the region's wreck dives.
The reef runs to a maximum depth of 20 metres. The sheltered channel setting means conditions are generally manageable, but the site is not current-free — divers should carry a surface marker buoy and follow a current plan agreed with their guide in advance.
Visibility is good and water temperature ranges from 24–26 °C during the June–September season, rising to 26–28 °C between November and April. The most reliable diving window runs from May through October, with June to September considered optimal.
The site suits intermediate divers and, when current is light, photographers. Occasional larger visitors pass through alongside the resident gorgonians, anemones, and reef fish, though no specific encounter is guaranteed.
