Dived here today? How were conditions vs. what we showed?
Kendwa Reef lies off Kendwa Beach in Zanzibar and is reached easily from the shore. The reef is dived at depths of 5 to 10 metres and suits both divers and snorkellers.
It works as a nursery, with vibrant juvenile fish hiding among the corals, and the coral gardens and gentle currents make it a calm place to get in the water.
Divers have also reported anemonefish, lionfish, glassfish, trevally, barracuda and whitetip reef sharks here.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
