Meno Bounty is a wreck and reef dive off Gili Meno in Indonesia, about a 20 minute boat ride from Gili Air. The wreck is a large sunken floating dock once used by a resort on Gili Meno. It was sunk in 1999 and has become an artificial reef.
The wreck lies in 18 metres and rises to 8 metres from the surface, so it suits all levels. Beyond it a coral ridge extends from 20 metres to 12 metres, and a gentle slope runs down to ridges at 25 metres. The shallow reef around the wreck has large colonies of Acropora corals, gorgonian sea fans and colourful sponges.
The wreck is covered in Sinularia leather corals, black coral trees and sponges, and attracts emperor, semicircle, blue girdled, masked and lemonpeel angelfish, schooling fusiliers and butterflyfish. The ridge has colonies of tomato, false clown, pink and Clark's anemonefish. Whitetip reef sharks are often found under table corals or resting by coral bommies, and green turtles sleep on the reef.
The site is especially good on a mid to strong current day, when you drift along looking for sleeping turtles. Open Water courses are often taken here.
