Peleliu Corner, also known as Peleliu Cut, is considered the most famous dive site in Peleliu, Palau — a reef dive where powerful currents funnel between the island's tip and the open ocean, creating a natural gathering point for large pelagic species. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 23 metres, with divers typically working the 10–30 m range along the reef plateau and its edges. Visibility regularly extends to 30–50 metres.
Currents here range from moderate to extreme depending on tidal state, and down currents are common and have caused accidents — divers are strongly advised to hook in at the plateau using a reef hook, stay close to their guide, maintain depth, and always carry an SMB. The site's hazards also include WWII relics on the reef.
The funnelling current draws in an impressive range of large animals: barracuda, tuna, and sailfish patrol the blue water, while bull sharks, tiger sharks, whale sharks, and even sperm whales have been recorded here. Dense schools of butterflyfish form walls along the reef, and reef sharks, bumphead parrotfish, Napoleons, and turtles are also regularly seen.
Diving is done as a drift or hook-in from a boat; an Advanced Open Water certification is recommended given the potential for extreme current, and Nitrox is frequently suggested to extend bottom time safely at depth.
