The Prince Albert Wreck is a 140 ft (43 m) tanker lying in front of the beach on the south side of Roatan, in Honduras. She was originally owned by Nicaraguans and used to carry war refugees to Roatan, then was stripped of valuables and left partly submerged, until she was deliberately sunk as a dive site in 1985.
She now sits upright in about 65 ft (20 m) of water and is in remarkably good shape, with years of algae and soft coral covering the hull. Many fish live in the cavernous channels and hollows of the ship, and eagle rays, southern stingrays, barracuda, moray eels and turtles are listed here.
You can dive it as a drop-off from the boat or as a shore dive straight off the beach, and it is a popular night dive.
