Samran Pinnacle is an open-ocean rock in the Gulf of Thailand, hidden between Sail Rock and Koh Tao. The rock starts at 9 m (30 ft) and drops to 28 m (92 ft), and you can go slightly deeper by following the rock pattern along the bottom.
Schools of barracuda, fusiliers and trevally circle the rock, and whale shark encounters are possible. Hard and soft corals, gorgonians, whip corals and barrel sponges grow on it.
The current is medium and the site is exposed, and fishing nets are a hazard. Only advanced divers should dive it.
