Sand Chute is a dive site characterised by a broad sand slope that descends like a ski run, with large coral formations rising on either side. The slope begins at around 60 feet (18 m) and drops away to well over 300 feet (91 m), with a maximum recreational depth of 100 feet (30.5 m). The bottom is sand.
The site offers a varied layout that includes drop-offs and swim-throughs alongside the central sand chute itself. At the top of the slope, divers get a view of the Kittiwake wreck, which sits at the head of the descent and forms a notable feature of the dive.
