The Canyon is a shore-entry dive site featuring a natural underwater canyon that begins at 8 metres depth and descends to a bottom of around 20–21.5 metres. Entry is made from the beach via a giant stride or by swimming from shore, with the canyon providing straightforward orientation for navigation throughout the dive. At the canyon's exit, a large rock drops away as a wall to approximately 40 metres.
The terrain is entirely rock, with the canyon walls rising on either side and a small open cave visible to the right near the entrance. Inside the canyon, huge sponges and corals add dense colour to the walls, while the rock formations along the right side can be followed during ascent to make staged safety stops at natural depth intervals.
Marine life inside the canyon includes sea urchins, starfish, fireworms, various sponges, and colourful small fish. Moray eels, octopuses, groupers, and shrimps are seen regularly, though on an occasional basis.
Visibility runs to 20 metres or better. The site is rated for Open Water to Advanced Open Water divers, though the deeper sections of the canyon and the wall dive at the exit require Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent. Divers should stay with a guide, avoid diving alone, and follow proper ascent and safety-stop discipline, particularly if extending the dive toward the deeper wall.
