About this site
Kleine Knip, also called Playa Kenepa Chiki, is a small sheltered bay on Curaçao and the smaller sister of Grote Knip, just up the coast. The water quality is equal to or better than at its neighbour, and the beach is less crowded. The reef here is shallow, with a maximum depth of about 5 m, and the current is light.
The reef lies on the right-hand rocky side of the bay. It is modest, with small schools of fish and decent coral coverage in 2 to 5 m of water.
The bay is sheltered and suits children. There is no entry fee and there are no facilities beyond a few trees for shade, so bring your own water, food and supplies. Park on the road above and walk down to the beach, as there are no vendors here.
