Anse La Blague is a bay on Praslin with a quieter setting than the island's busier beaches, and its coastal reef is worth a look when the sea is calm. The reef protects the water, although the site becomes exposed when the south-east trade winds strengthen, and visibility can vary. The season runs from May to October.
Currents are possible towards the drop-off, so the sheltered part of the bay is the place to stay. That sheltered section suits newcomers only in calm sea. When current or waves are present, the drop-off is best left alone, and tide and current both deserve attention here.
