Baixa Da Barca is a pinnacle in the channel between Faial and Pico, rising to a big plateau that begins at 17 metres. Depths run from 17 to 40 metres and the dive is rated advanced.
A strong current is possible here. Big shoals of guelly jacks and barracudas gather around the pinnacle, and dusky groupers are also found on the dive.
