Batu Belandra is a dive site at Gili Asahan, a crescent-shaped island near Lombok. A gently sloping sandy bottom runs down to 27 metres, and the site is covered in soft corals and busy with reef fish.
The dive drifts through sunlit coral canyons, and the crevices in them hold garden eels. The area known as Spinney Ridge suits muck diving, where rhinopias and scorpionfish can be found. November to April brings the best conditions, and good buoyancy control helps protect the coral.
