Bistro is a reef dive in Beqa Lagoon, with a maximum depth of about 18.3 metres (60 feet). Divers are not in a cage but sit on the reef around the perimeter of the site.
Up to eight species of shark can be seen here: bull, whitetip reef, blacktip reef, nurse, lemon, grey reef and silvertip sharks, and occasionally the elusive tiger shark. More than 300 species of fish have been recorded, and some divers are rewarded with sightings of a huge Queensland grouper, a humphead wrasse or the resident giant moray eel.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
