Brighton Pier is a shallow dive among tangled wreckage at the pier at Brighton, with depths of 5 to 9 metres and around 8 metres in most places. The wreckage forms an overhead environment,. It is graded as a beginner dive.
Large shoals of fish shelter in the wreckage, shoals of bass are seen in the summer and autumn months, and plenty of eels live among the tangled metal. Spider crabs are also found here. The pier is still used by boats, and there are no go zones around it that divers must keep clear of.
