Grampin is a coral reef dive site located outside Cancun Bay near Punta Cancún, Mexico, part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef — the second-largest reef system in the world. It sits in approximately 15–17 metres (50–56 feet) of water, with a maximum depth of 15.5 metres, and features coral formations along a reef that is notably long in extent. The area includes several swim-throughs and tunnels.
The reef is home to a variety of marine life including colorful fish, sea turtles, eels, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and reef sharks. Casual encounters with sharks are a feature of the outside-bay reefs in this group, and eagle rays are also present.
All dives here are boat dives, reached from the coast of Cancún. The site is part of a cluster of outside-bay reefs and lends itself to drift diving. Water temperature ranges from 24–26°C in winter to 27–28°C in summer, and visibility is great. Currents are medium, and the area can experience varying conditions depending on season; the site is diveable year-round.
Grampin is listed among sites suited to more experienced divers rather than beginners, alongside the Tunnel and local shipwrecks, though the outside-bay reef group as a whole is described as suitable for divers of all levels. A minimum Open Water Diver certification or equivalent is required, and divers must present a valid scuba certification card.
